#FirstyFriday rolling back in

It’s almost here, my favourite day of the month, #FirstyFriday (despite the chaos caused getting it ready!).  We’re setting up the beers, cleaning the lines, sorting the cooling and all the other little jobs that go into getting this place ship shape.  The beer list is just below.  Don’t forget if you want a quieter night we are also open Thursdays 5 to 10pm.

We’re stocking up on the lovely focaccias from Bread in Common and a load of cheese from Godfrey C Williams plus we’ve more Slabs crips and Weston Biltong due in.

We’re introducing a new loyalty scheme, every time you come to the bar you can scan your loyalty card and collect points which can be redeemed any time we’re open on drinks, snacks and soon merchandise.  All it takes is registering an email address on the iPad on the bar and scanning your card on each visit….simples.

Music is coming to us from Sway doing a bit of a smaller, stripped back thing than their usual setup and we’re very much looking forward to having them in the Offbeat nest;

“Now into their forties they still love working together even after all these years… ….Sway.. perform well known songs covering the past four decades from The Beatles to Elvis, right up to Kaiser Chiefs and Snow Patrol. They have a Rock and Pop guitar based sound, from four very competent musicians, which really comes across live…”

To clear up some confusion that seems to be doing the rounds, its free entry, it has been for ages and its a cash or card bar.  We do use tokens when we’re doing bigger events like festivals but they’re few and far between….99.9% of the time we operate the same as any other bar, we just make our own beers on site!

That’s pretty much everything that’s been swimming round my brain to share with you, here’s hoping for the sunshine to hang out in, Michelle x

PS #FirstyFriday – first Friday of the month but look out for live music on Good Friday and our Summer of Beer programme being announced soon.
