Offbeat Brewery was established in November 2010 by Michelle Kelsall, formerly of the Windie Goat Brewery at the Failford Inn, Ayrshire. A mission to create flavour packed beers, often loaded with hops, has seen Offbeat thrive and grow.
In early 2016 Michelle made the decision to change direction with the brewery to partly focus on her health and T1 diabetes and the decision was taken to sell the 6 barrel kit. Just as it was all going through, Out There Brewery in Newcastle Upon Tyne popped up and said “How about a swap?”. In May 2016 it all changed and the 2 barrel kit from Out There arrived with a view to doing a lot more experimental smaller brews, a focus on events opening the bar as a Tap Room more often. Keep an eye on the website for news and updates.
Based in Crewe, minutes walk from the town centre, the brewery does popular open nights, #FirstyFriday and the beers appear all over Cheshire and beyond.
