As it stands on Monday we’re boiling up and transferring to the fermenter our new kettle sour, Peculiar Pomegranate and bottling up some Out Of Step IPA. Then Tuesday we’re brewing up a kind of unplanned big hoppy IPA maybe double IPA with Gage from BeerMenus – we’ll see how it goes on the day! We raised just over £1700 from our Indiegogo fund raising which is a great help and has reduced a chunk of the bill for the drain repairs.  It’s holding up well, a great job done and it’s been a relief to get back to brewing, the comeback beer of Porangi NZ Pale has gone really well. It all starts with a mash whether it’s brewing beer or distilling gin so for September and October we’ve gone on the hunt for the people who do both.  We’ve got a great line up of beers and an extra 15 gins to add to our fabulous gin menu.  Beers will be in a variety of cask, keg and bottle. It’s been non stop this week as we try and catch up with shutting for a few days over Christmas. Monday was an Outlandish Pale brew, Tuesday an Off The Rails Chocolate Stout, Wednesday a Way Out Wheat, Thursday over to Bridestones for a collab, Sprocket Wort Orange, Friday a Disfunctional Functional IPA and Saturday David from Otherton Ales is using fermenter 5 for his Mayflower.
